Area Description
This is the best part of Battersea on the south bank of the River Thames neighbouring Chelsea. Battersea Park along the River is one of the most attractive of all London green spaces. Well maintained and full of events it offers a variety of sports activities for all ages: jogging, tennis, football, bowling, fishing and cycling for children. This is were the well known London zoo for children is situated. Numerous events take stage in the park such as the Antique and Textile fair, the Affordable art Fair or the Designer Wedding show. One of the most spectacular traditional November fireworks takes place in this park. The area is very quiet and residential with good shops and restaurants and excellent bus and rail travel connections either to Chelsea or to the City of London.
