Area Description

This is a choice residential part of Pimlico between Victoria and the river, with a mix of grand Victorian terraces, historic buildings, government offices and modern apartment blocks. Just round the corner from the flat is Vincent Square, known for its lush cricket ground surrounded by tall trees, an oasis in an otherwise densely built area. About 20 minutes walk takes you to elegant St James’s Park, overlooked by Buckingham Palace in the west and extending towards Trafalgar Square to the east. Westminster Abbey, the Houses of Parliament and the Tate Britain art gallery are a similar distance away. For a change of scene why not take a river cruise along the Thames, upstream to Greenwich or downstream to Hampton Court. There are plenty of shopping and dining options in the neighbourhood, with numerous restaurants, cafés, shops large and small and some outdoor markets.
