Area Description

This is a very residential part of Pimlico, not too far from the Victoria bus, rail and underground station. Chapter Street leads to Vincent Square known for its very traditional and lush cricket grounds in the middle surrounded by tall trees. This is an oasis in the otherwise densely built area. There is a mix of traditional Victorian cottages and modern apartment blocks. Just a short walk away from our apartment is the impressive St James’s Park overlooked by Buckingham Palace in the west and extending into Trafalgar Square to the east. More over, Westminster Abbey, Houses of Parliament and the Tate Britain Art Gallery are just a short walk away from Chapter Street. Also, available in the area are numerous River Thames boat cruise services. One should not miss out on this experience and ought to try routes towards Greenwich or Hampton Court. The area is well served with numerous restaurants, cafes and grocery shops and a few fruit and vegetable markets.
