A very smart, elegant addition to the Brentford Ferry Quays and locals can be seen skipping down the streets with delight. The chef has come from Locanda Locatelli and brought a very deft touch to the authentic Italian menu. The dining room faces the water, and a local sculpture landmark, which only slightly distracts from the enthusiastic and efficient service and superb food. Try starter of minestrone with parsley and garlic oil, pasta of pappardelle with wild boar ragu, main of sea bream with potato and scabeccio sauce, and pud of their own tiramisu, or just linger over the superb coffee and biscuits. A classic Italian experience. This is a superb choice for special family celebrations or business events, as the welcome is warm, the decor very smart indeed, the setting charming and the food superb. There is no private room as such, but the management will happily accommodate large groups in the dining room, or you would do well to hire the whole venue, seating up to 70. The food is classic Italian of the upmarket variety, and very well done, too. Try starter of charcuterie imported from Umbria and Tuscany, pasta of cappellacci filled with pumpkin and amaretto, main of rack of lamb with rosemary sauce, and pud of white and dark chocolate mousse with raspberry puree.
