The Raj lives on in Kent. The door to Tamasha, opens on a world of devoted hospitality, cuisine and d?cor. In the Cricket Bar you can admire the spoils of thirteen years of passionate acquisition of cricket memorabilia, including Sir Vivian Richards' own autographed bat. The main dining room is a traditional assemblage of ceiling fans, rattan chairs, comfy upholstery, white napery and photographs of the days of the Raj. Live entertainment adds to the ambience early in the week, and children have their own entertainment during Sunday lunch - making a relaxing meal for parents. Award-winning chefs use the freshest ingredients to create pan-Indian dishes like starter of chicken nilgiri tikka, main courses of Goan jhinga balchao with fried prawns, classic bhuna gosht, or highly recommended butter chicken. Good choice of wines and beers complements the menu. Parking available. Tamasha are eager and waiting to host your party, celebration, reception, conference or meeting in the Raj-themed Darbar Room on the first floor. The Darbar Room has its own bar and conferencing facilities and accommodates up to 75 seated, or for enormously splashy gatherings, the entire venue can be hired to seat up to 170. This outpost of colonial Indian d?cor, ambience, service and memorabilia is a smart, high-quality restaurant. (Rooms are available, too.) The menu, devised by award-winning chefs, roams the finest dishes from each region of the subcontinent, using only the freshest ingredients. Try starter of Amritsari marinated halibut, main course of Hyderabadi murgh nawabi or chicken in white wine with onion, tomato and saffron, or dum ka korma, a steamed lamb dish. Chefs will work with you to devise an ideal menu for your needs.
