Another branch of the very succesfull franchise of Amba Bar and Grill. The amazing d?cor will generate an unforgettable dining experience for you and your friend. If you fancy eating in a more formal atmosphere for a full dinner with attentive waiter service in grand and luxurious surroundings this central London restaurant is the best choice. Step into another world with polished granite flooring, rich leather upholstery and a naturally lit, graceful, yet modern interior. Amba Bar and Grill serves imaginative and unpretentious quality British food with premium seasonal ingredients to provide delicious portions of classic English food with a modern twist. With each component chosen for optimal freshness, this British central London restaurant presents traditional favourite dishes such as cottage pie, spit roast chicken and trifle, as well as classics with a contemporary interpretation, such as bread and butter ice cream. The best central London restaurants suggests Amba to the lovers of quality that can afford to pay a bit more than the usual central London restaurant price.
Dined at Amba on 7th January. Found this restaurant to be cool in atmosphere due to restaurant being half empty. Food seemed to be of a very high standard with a great choice, could have eaten any number of items of the menu. We had seared Tuna with black olives, tart of ragstone chees (really good) followed by pork loin with braised cabbage (slightly over cooked) and seabream with salsify and garlic, the cooking here is very assured, something you would expect in a michelin starred central London restaurant. Desserts were OK, but couldn't recommend the chocolate tart and the coffee was poor. Service was a little slow but attentive and charming. I would definately return M.
