Trafalgar square is a very popular central London square, It is famous for Nelsons column, for its beautiful fountains and also for it’s pigeons! Which get a mixed reception. Trafalgar Square is in fact named after the location of Nelsons last victory in cape Trafalgar in Spain. It is popular today among tourists and residents alike, and is often a venue for concerts. Trafalgar square was completed in the 1840’s, although it was designed in the 1820’s. Sadly it’s designer, John Nash never lived to see it’s completion.
