Kennington is an area of South London, in the London Borough of Lambeth lying just south of the River Thames. It is the location of the Oval, the well-known cricket stadium. Kennington Park now covers most of the site of Kennington Common. This was one of the earliest London cricket venues.

Other nearby places of interest include the many museums such as the Imperial War Museum, Lambeth Palace, and St. George?s Cathedral. For a slightly more quirky day out, that?s fun for the kids, you could try the London Duck Tours.

Kennington is a relatively inexpensive location with excellent transport links, being only one stop away from Waterloo, and two from London Bridge on the Northern Line of the London Underground.
