A bright apartment with the best address in Chelsea and wonderful views of the river, not far from the King’s Road with its fabulous choice of shops and restaurants.

Area Description

This is a great address as Cheyne Walk was, and still is, considered the most fashionable street in Chelsea. This block of flats is on the corner of Flood Street, once the home of Margaret Thatcher. From here you could spend many a happy hour walking up the lively King’s Road towards Sloane Square (maybe taking a bus part way), as this part of town is memorable for the multitude and quality of its shopping and gourmet options. Walks along the riverside avenues make a refreshing change of scene. You're also seconds away from the lovely Chelsea Physic Garden and when the Chelsea Flower show is on - this home is within easy walking distance.

Why stay in Chelsea:

Once known as a humble fishing village by the River Thames, Chelsea is now one of the most prestigious and sought after areas in London. Chelsea is also home to the Kings Road which was once used as the royal route to Hampton Court by King Charles. It has an abundance of fashion stores, cafes, restaurants and pubs. Fulham Road, which runs parallel to the Kings Road is also lined by smart boutiques, cafes and restaurants.

There are also some lovely parks and walking tracks in the area. The Chelsea Embankment is a lovely spot for a stroll and there is a pathway which runs from the Prince Albert Bridge to the Chelsea Bridge where you can take in the wonderful views Battersea Park and Battersea Power Station just across the river.

There are endless amounts of pubs, bars, restaurants and cafes in Chelsea ranging from upmarket and luxurious to relaxed, cool and trendy. We suggest checking out the following:
• The Botanist , 7 Sloane Square
• The Crescent, 99 Fulham Road
• Dome Café, 354 King’s Road
• Henry J Bean’s, 195-197 Kings Road
• The Hollywood Arms, 45 Hollywood Road.

Chelsea is also a short bus or tube ride away from the major tourist attractions in London such as Big Ben (5 minutes by tube), London Eye (5 minutes by tube) and Tower of London (15 minutes by tube), making Chelsea a very central and desirable location of London. Chelsea is a great spot if you are in London to site-see, enjoy a relaxing break or if you’ve made the trip for business.

Museums: Carlyles House, 24 Cheyne Row, Chelsea Physic Garden, 66 Royal Hospital Road, National Army Museum and the Royal Hospital Chelsea Museum both on Royal Hospital Road

(Close by there are also the following museums a short walk, tube or bus ride away: Natural History Museum and the , Victoria and Albert Museum both on Cromwell Road, and the Science Museum - Exhibition Road.)

Reviews for this property

  • We were very happy with the service and also the accommodation. We also appreciated the speedy return of the security deposit, particularly in view of the exchange rate into Australian dollars. The pick service from the airport to the flat was excellent.

  • The flat was clean, and we were delighted with the accommodation overall and with the liaison with HfH. I am recommending your service to others

  • On the whole a great stay with helpful home from home staff. Loved the house and the location. Awesome how my taxi to the airport and key return was organized through home from Home. Would definitely use your service again. Thank you!

  • We were VERY happy with the flat. The view and location couldn't have been better. We will certainly consider doing this again. With such excellent food shops nearby and great bus service all over London, it made our stay a great pleasure.

  • The apartment was beautiful, clean and convenient. HFHs responses to our questions were quick and easy. The Internet was very convenient and made it easy for us to organise and look up what we wanted to do. A great base for our stay.

  • The property was very inviting and cosy. The location could not be bettered. One comment - had some problem with the TV. The freeview box did'nt function well. We would like to rent this property again.

  • I absolutely loved my stay in your apartment. The HFH team was great! Everything was very well organized and efficient. I would love to come back to the same place. The only thing I would suggest is to add a colander among the kitchen utensils and a non-stick pan.

  • This was our third rental with HFH in the last year and a half and for my husband and I...fantastic. Location, view and all things that contributed to another special stay in London. We walked to the V&A and Natural History Museum in minutes. Bus stop out the door and all the magic of Sloan Square area. Cyril and the two Dave's taxi delivery and pickup were also great. Thank you HFH. Hope to rent Cheyne Walk again soon!

  • This was our second visit to Cheyne Walk and will not be our last. The property is convenient for us to visit with our granddaughter, plus being able to walk up to Kings Road where there are stores, coffee shops, restaurants and even see what is at Saatchi Gallery is amazing.

  • I had some difficulty with turning off the shower/bath. I called the office and was offered assistance right away. I also appreciated your kind and efficient house/flat cleaner, Anne, who came by to bring an air bed and do some minor maintenance with your repair man. Both people arrived when they said they would, fixed the problem and were very nice. I hope to be able to return next year.
