Area Description

This is a favoured residential part of the West End just a short walk from the Covent Garden Piazza and the Royal Opera House, yet in reasonable walking distance of several top theatres and a host of other interesting places: the British Museum, Sir John Soane's Museum, Somerset House with the Courtauld Gallery, London Transport Museum and the Inns of Court. There are hours of pleasure to be had in and around Covent Garden itself exploring its many shops, galleries and eateries in their elegant historic setting. Easy access to the City and to Piccadilly, Knightsbridge, Kensington and all other parts of London.

The most striking feature of the open plan living room is its picture windows and the amazing views over the London rooftops to the towers of Westminster and the London Eye. You can see them best from the small balcony, the perfect spot for enjoying an early coffee as the day begins or for admiring the city lights at night! The open plan arrangement makes a practical and uncluttered space, with a dining corner beside the kitchen area and a corner sofa for relaxing, with a good size cable TV, hi-fi and DVD player.

Kitchen

The kitchen area, with its smart charcoal marble finish and granite tops, enjoys the same amazing views and has a generous amount of work space. It has an electric hob, oven and a microwave and fridge/freezer. There is a separate laundry room with a washer/dryer.

Bedrooms

The wide window and muted colours in the bedroom make a light and restful space. There is a UK king size bed (160cm x 200cm) and good storage space in the bedside units and tall cupboard.

Bathrooms

Newly fitted high quality tiled shower room with glass wash basin and a loo.

  • On all of my annual visits to London, my wife and I have stayed in hotels, so staying in an apartment was a new experience - one which we certainly don't regret!The apartment was clean and well appointed with all the amenities needed for easy living (the largish separate laundry with washing machine and place to hang washing was particularly useful).The lounge room/dining room was more than adequate with a great flat screen TV, DVD and music system with Ipod docking. The only slight disappointment was that the cable TV options were limited, but that was a relative minor. The greatest selling point with this flat was the location- close to shops, tube, restaurants and the west end. What more could one want. The booking arrangements and all-round service from the agents, home from home, was excellent with no hitches. I would definitely want to stay there again on future visits and would highly recommend it to all and sundry.

  • As always, Home from Home delivered great service and the apartment in Newton Street,where we stayed last year as well, had a great location and was well-appointed. The only slight disappointment was the limited amount of TV channels and poor reception on some of them(which hadn't been experienced on our previous visit).
