A large well furnished apartment with plenty of space just a few minutes south of Hyde Park and very close to the shopping and dining choices (and good travel connections) of Kensington High Street and its surroundings.

Area Description

An elegant residential area of period terraces and garden squares, a few minutes walk south of Hyde Park, a great green space and close enough for a brisk early jog or a leisurely evening stroll. A walk of less than 10 minutes takes you to the many attractions of the Kensington High Street and Church Street area. And in 15 you could walk to the Victoria & Albert Museum, the Natural History and Science Museums, and beyond them to the fashionista and gourmet paradise of Harrods and the exclusive shops, boutiques and restaurants of Knightsbridge. Buses and taxis are plentiful for access to the West End or farther afield, also for Heathrow.

Property Description

Bedrooms

The expansive master bedroom has a super king-sized bed and large built-in cupboards, as well as some elegant Regency-style chairs and other antique pieces. Bedroom two has a double bed and the third bedroom also has double bed plus the en-suite bathroom.

Why stay in Kensington:

To step into the Royal Borough of Kensington is to walk in the footsteps of Kings and Queens, writers and revolutionaries, politicians and painters, thinkers and thespians.
This premier residential district was once a country village favoured by the wealthy. It retains its exclusivity and is home to a Royal palace and London's foremost museums.

There are numerous places to visit such as The Natural History Museum, Royal Albert Hall, Kensington Place, Victoria & Albert Museum, Science Museum and Linley Sambourne House (Punch Illustrator) which will give you the perfect view of a Victorian house.

Another place to visit is the Kensington Roof Gardens which is a must see, the grade II listed art deco building with a roof garden which covers 1.5 acres. The gardens are split into three with English, Formal Spanish and Tudor styles and this is a perfect place to relax and get away from the bustling streets of London.

Famous department stores such as Harrods and Harvey Nichols are close by in Knightsbridge which are a short walk from Knightsbridge tube station. If you still want to shop The Kings Road and High Street Kensington are also located in this part of London and have all the high street stores you could wish for.

There are numerous tube stations throughout Kensington which can take you to any part of London:- West Brompton – District Line, Notting Hill Gate – Central Line & District and Circle Line, Holland Park – Central Line, High Street Kensington – District and Circle Line, Earls Court – District Line, South Kensington – Piccadilly, District and Circle Line.

Places to eat:-

  • We were really impressed with this apartment. We've been travelling UK for 4 weeks and have stayed in several self cater apts. The De Vere property was by far the best for many reasons; It was clean, spacious (fantastic living ratio to number of beds), quiet, appliances worked, clear instructions for rubbish etc, super location. By far the best property we stayed at in London and surrounds. Many thanks. Charlotte

  • We had a wonderful time and would come back again to the flat.

  • We had a very good experience at De Vere Gardens. Making the arrangements was very easy and the flat was very spacious and comfortable. We had to call Karen with questions a couple of times and she was very responsive. We would definitely stay there again.

  • The only real problem was the lift out of order. We would also recommend that some light cotton blankets are available as on warm summer nights the duvets are not suitable. And a little larger TV screen in the living room would also be very nice. Besides that, we were very happy!

  • We enjoyed our recent stay in London. We were many times in Britain. This is the best agency for accommodation and many accessories (eg taxi) and for providing staff who speak the Italian language to meet our needs. Next year we will choose the same agency and apartment (hopefully).

  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at De Vere Gardens. It is a lovely apartment, so homey, so comfortable. It was perfect for us. I loved the little writing desk in the salon. I wrote in my journal there each evening. It was lovely. The sofas were fabulous and comfortable, as were the beds. We had a fabulous time in London.Thank you again for all of your assistance.

  • The sash windows need attention because the ropes were broken so it was difficult to open the windows. Apart from that we found the flat to be in a very convenient position for transport, shopping, walking in the park etc and we all enjoyed staying there.
