Area Description

A favoured residential area with Victorian terraced houses and leafy squares, Notting Hill is one of the most popular and cosmopolitan parts of London and home of the famous Portobello Road antiques market, which is just a short distance from the flat. The area provides an almost endless choice of cafés, restaurants, pubs and shops of all types, from small neighbourhood stores to designer boutiques and trendy galleries to major shopping outlets. A 10 minute tube or bus ride takes you to Kensington, Hyde Park or Oxford Circus and there are many travel options for reaching other parts of the city. Sainsbury's grocery store is a seven minute walk from the property.

It was clean, comfortable, quiet, a perfect location to explore Portobello Road (which is one of our favorite places in London), close to the tube for easy access to other parts of the City, and the taxi service you arranged to and from the airport was spot on. We could not have asked for better service. It made a perfect vacation. Next time we come to London I hope to let the same flat.
