Area Description

Residential Pimlico is a calm and quiet part of town offering a selection of enticing local restaurants, corner shops and pubs. Tate Britain and the Thames are a short walk away. If you want more of a buzz, take a 6 minute stroll up to Victoria, where you have all the shops and restaurants you could possibly want, and from there, it’s just a few minutes more to Buckingham Palace, Knightsbridge and Green Park.


Property Description

General

A very comfortable and spacious two bedroom, two bathroom apartment boasting bright rooms, pristine interiors and deluxe dining facilities. The property is on 4th floor (approx 40 steps), no lift. Strictly non smoking, WiFi available.

Decor

Bright, modern and minimalist.

Receptions

The reception and dining room is elegant, yet comfortable and is neutrally decorated with beige walls and grey carpets. Sit back and relax after a long day of sight seeing and lounge on the sofa which is perfect for three or in the relaxing arm chair. There is also a generous dining table which offers seating for four guests comfortably, ideal for evening meals or family games.

Kitchen

The deluxe kitchen leads onto the dining room and is well equipped with all the modern conveniences such as microwave, washer/dryer, hob/oven, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and Nespresso machine.

Bedrooms

The luxurious master bedroom boasts a super king bed (180x200cm), plentiful cupboard space, and best of all it is extremely quiet and relaxing. The second bedroom is well proportioned and comprises of two excellent quality single beds (90x190cm).

Bathrooms

The master bedroom has an en-suite shower room with beautifully tiled rain-head power shower, wash hand basin and loo. The second bathroom is adjacent to the twin bedroom and offers a bath, rain head shower unit, wash basin and loo. We also love the heated towel rails in both bathrooms!

Just 6 minutes walk away is the Victoria Rail & Underground Station which is one of London’s top transport hubs offering links fanning out across the UK; you will also find the Victoria Coach Station here. Pimlico Tube Station is also nearby, only 8 minutes walk away.

Why stay in Pimlico:

Pimlico and Victoria are both residential areas as well as a hub for travellers. With Victoria’s coach and railway station, the area is always bustling with tourists and there is also no shortage of bars and restaurants in the nearby streets. There are some grand mid 19th century white stucco houses with classical columns at entry which make the area a truly lovely area to visit. Both areas are very centrally located and are a 10 minute walk to Tate Britain which is home to the largest collection of British art in the world. Westminster Cathedral, the biggest Catholic Church in England and Wales is located on Victoria Street.

There are many bars and pubs in the area which are definitely worth a visit. One in particular is The Boisdale Jazz and Cigar Club in Belgravia. It is home to Scottish cuisine and live jazz music. It also offers a number of master classes in how to make cocktails, drink champagne and smoke cigars. If you fancy a night at the theatre, Victoria Palace Theatre is in the area and stages many productions throughout the year. Another grand West End theatre is situated right by Victoria Station, the Apollo Victoria. The theatre is currently decked out in green as it has been the UK home of Wizard of Oz prequel musical Wicked since 2006. Pimlico Road which leads into nearby Belgravia is a high end shopping experience that is becoming known for its interior and home furnishing stores. Pimlico and Victoria are also both located walking distance to the River Thames and nearby is Hyde Park which is a 15 minute walk away. Both of these spots are perfect for an afternoon stroll. We highly recommend checking out the area during your stay in London.

Pubs/Bars: Cask Pub & Kitchen, Charlwood St, The Queens Arm on Warwick Way, The Jugged Hare on Vauxhall Bridge Road.

Restaurants: Gustoso Ristorante & Enoteca, Willow Place, A Wong, Wilton Road, Cyprus Mangal, Warwick Way, Giraffe, Wilton Road .

Parks/Greens: Hyde Park, Chelsea Embankment.

  • Our stay was a great location to the tube, and an easy ride to what we wanted to see. After a day of trekking there were tasty (really tasty) restaurants within a close proximity to the apartment, which HFH listed in the guest book (Tappas and Indian), two grocery stores also within an easy walk; we like to cook. We plan to come back to London. We saw a lot, but so much more to see. The only draw back was that the flat was on the 4th floor. Not a problem for us, but if you have bad knees, or have too much luggage you might not be as pleased as we were. We definitely recommend HFH, and this flat. We plan to come back and will call on HFH for accommodation.
