Area Description

Pimlico is a calm and quiet part of town blessed with a selection of enticing local restaurants. Along the river you will stumble upon some great waterside pubs, and for a bit more activity, take a stroll up to Victoria (6 minutes away) which is one of London’s top transport hubs, and here you will find a large selection of shops and bistros. From here, it’s just a little further to Buckingham Palace, Mayfair and Knightsbridge, or, if you want the West End, the tube from Pimlico to Oxford Circus takes seven minutes.

The third bedroom is small with a very small single bed.

The master bathroom has a bath and rain head shower unit over the bath, a loo and wash hand basin. There is also a separate shower room with wash-basin and a loo.

Why stay in Pimlico:

Pimlico and Victoria are both residential areas as well as a hub for travellers. With Victoria’s coach and railway station, the area is always bustling with tourists and there is also no shortage of bars and restaurants in the nearby streets. There are some grand mid 19th century white stucco houses with classical columns at entry which make the area a truly lovely area to visit. Both areas are very centrally located and are a 10 minute walk to Tate Britain which is home to the largest collection of British art in the world. Westminster Cathedral, the biggest Catholic Church in England and Wales is located on Victoria Street.

There are many bars and pubs in the area which are definitely worth a visit. One in particular is The Boisdale Jazz and Cigar Club in Belgravia. It is home to Scottish cuisine and live jazz music. It also offers a number of master classes in how to make cocktails, drink champagne and smoke cigars. If you fancy a night at the theatre, Victoria Palace Theatre is in the area and stages many productions throughout the year. Another grand West End theatre is situated right by Victoria Station, the Apollo Victoria. The theatre is currently decked out in green as it has been the UK home of Wizard of Oz prequel musical Wicked since 2006. Pimlico Road which leads into nearby Belgravia is a high end shopping experience that is becoming known for its interior and home furnishing stores. Pimlico and Victoria are also both located walking distance to the River Thames and nearby is Hyde Park which is a 15 minute walk away. Both of these spots are perfect for an afternoon stroll. We highly recommend checking out the area during your stay in London.

  • The apartment was well furnished and provided all the needs for our family. The location was great - near to two underground stations and within walking distance of a lot of the major attractions - Buckingham Palace,Westminster and so on. Having a driver (with the apartment keys) pick us up from Heathrow and take us directly to the apartment was very helpful after a long flight to London from Australia.

  • We had a wonderful time and the accommodations were very good to excellent. We loved the area especially the diverse, nearby, and excellent restaurants. The third bedroom might be too small for an older (or larger) teen but it fit our needs fine. Generally the location and flat were outstanding. Bright apartment with eye-pleasing decor so we think we got very good value for the money we paid for the apartment.
