Area Description
The northern end of the Portobello Road has been transformed in recent years into a hub of activity with ultra trendy restaurants, cinema and award winning cafes on nearly every corner. The Teanamu Chaya Teahouse on St Luke's Road ( 2 minutes walking) offers afternoon tea with an Asian twist, serving a vast selection of teas with Scones also make an appearance and served with clotted cream and rose petal jam. This quaint teahouse provides an intimate and ceremonial experience. Guests are guided through the different teas and a number of tempting food menu delicacies. Lucky 7 restaurant is a spookily accurate recreation of a 1950s diner (3 minutes walking), with an authentic American menu created by Tom Conran. It’s like a Midwestern diner from the 1950s straight from a James Dean film. The burgers are definitely the main attraction, from staple classics to more exotic crab-meat or green chilli patties. This is a fantastic, indulgent treat, with true style, atmosphere and a superb location near the delights of Ladbroke Grove.
Portobello Road, bursts at the seams with antiques and vintage fashion stores. And if it's markets you are after, this area boasts some of the world’s best-loved stalls. You’re also within walking distance of the magnificent Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park.

The flat is spacious, beautifully decorated and in a great location - just a 3 minute walk to the nearest tube stop. Everything has been recently updated and is sparkling clean. The flat is even better than it looks in the photos! Our favorite thing about the flat was the private garden off the kitchen - it's amazing to have such a lovely and quiet space in the middle of London. We recommend this home without hesitation and can't wait to return!
