The apartment

Property description

This quiet first floor apartment is located in an elegant stucco-fronted Georgian building on a green square less than 2 mins from Pimlico tube station, 8 mins from Victoria station. Enjoy the the beautiful St George's Square garden just 100 yards away.

The spacious property is quiet and features high ceilings and plenty of light. For warmer months, there's a roof terrace with lounge furniture. There is also a front balcony. Within a hundred yards there is the entrance to the delightfully calm and gorgeous park that is in the main part of St Georges Square. It runs between St Saviours Church at one end and the Thames at the other end, with wonderful trees, loads of park benches, etc and is open during daylight hours.

Well-furnished and equipped with everything you will need for a very comfortable short stay.

Large living room with two sofas (one is a sofa-bed), dining table that seats six / bright workspace.The 32-inch HDTV comes with Netflix, standard cable/satellite, double glazed windows.

As I was ticking off all of the characteristics of the apartment for this review, one word kept coming up: Perfect!This was the most perfect big city stay that we have had. Super quiet, super comfortable, super convenient, and some very interesting art as well. A true gem!

....the flat was very comfortable and spacious. Loved the outside balcony with a view over the park and the location was ideal - bus stop across the road and tube station around the corner.

..the perfect place for our first time trip to London. Not only was the space beautiful, the surrounding area was also so charming and walkable to most anything you’d want to see. We preferred to walk, but if needed, the tube station is a short walk across the street.

The apartment is beautiful and looks out over a small square. The well appointed kitchen was perfect for breakfasts and lunch in. It is fairly quiet and the bedroom in the back is very quiet. The bed is very comfortable and there is quite a lot of closet space. We didn’t get to use the outdoor spaces but I’m sure they are lovely in dry weather. The location in Pimlico is so convenient to the Victoria Line and the bus is literally outside the door. We were a very close walk to where our son’s student accommodations are and it was perfect for meeting up at nearby pubs. The shopping nearby was perfect with bakeries and other specialty shops and markets. I wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

Location & getting around

This is the London visitors's best-kept secret. A very residential location in Central London, so far from the hustle and bustle of the big city and crowds of fast-moving holidaymakers, but so close to the major attractions such as the Houses of Parliament, Buckingham Palace, St James's Park, Tate Britain and all the events along the River Thames. Victoria Station with an elaborate underground, rail, and bus network is just a short walk from here. The area of Pimlico is pretty, clean, and attractive with a good balance of small traditional shops and markets and big well-stocked supermarkets.This is a wonderful base for exploring London. For example, Tate Britain is just down the road. Sloane Sq and King's Rd (Chelsea) are within walking distance. There's a local market on Tatchbrook Street selling fresh fruit and veg and lots of restaurants and pubs in the neighbourhood. One of London's newest attractions: Battersea Power Station is within walking distance (just over the bridge).

Nearest tube

Pimlico Tube is 2 minutes walking. Victoria tube, mainline station, and bus station are an 8-minute walk.
