Property Description

General

This charming period house offers a wealth of luxury. Recently modernised by a leading architect and designed to allow light to pass from the top floor through to the basement. The house comprises two reception rooms and dining room, open plan kitchen, master en suite bedroom, two guest bedrooms, and child’s room (bunk beds). There are 3 bathrooms; family bathroom, two en suite guest bathrooms and guest cloak room. The property offers a unique level of enhanced privacy due to the gated driveway, which can accommodate up to 3 cars. A blue tooth music system is available throughout the main three floors of the house.

Receptions

The property has two reception rooms; one on the first floor near the entrance hall and another on the lower level adjacent to the kitchen and patio. Both are beautifully decorated with high quality furnishings and display many pieces of bespoke furniture, including a leather office desk. The first floor outside balcony includes an infra red heater - known to have many health benefits.

Kitchen

The spacious kitchen and dining room is decorated to the highest specification with top of the range appliances and wood floor throughout. The Scandinavian style open plan kitchen / lounge with bi-fold doors opens out onto the beautifully designed garden area. The exquisite coffee table is made from petrified wood and surrounded by a Bo-concept L- shaped sofa.

Bedrooms

The stunning first floor master bedroom is exquisitely furnished with super king size bed (180x200cm), plush carpet, antique dresser and wall attached TV. This room has a full en suite bathroom. The 2nd guests bedroom, known as the hunting room, is en suite with king size bed (150x200cm), chest of drawers, side tables and relaxing chair with reading lamp. There are two further bedrooms on the top floor; one bedroom with double bed (135x190cm), and a children's room next door with quality bunk beds (90x190cm).

Bathrooms

The en suite master bathroom on the 1st floor has separate bath, rain head shower and steam room. The bathroom on the 2nd floor next to the hunting room has bath tub and attached shower unit over the bath. There are also wash basin and loo in this room. The family bathroom is on the top floor and has bath tub with showerhead, wash basin and loo. There is a further guest loo on the ground floor.

Why stay in Notting Hill:

There is a bohemian spirit in this area with traditional pubs, restaurants and antique shops including the world-famous Portobello Road Antique Market.

Notting Hill is not only a set for the famous movie but it is also famous for Europe’s biggest street festival and one of the city’s best markets. It attracts thousands of people to its quirky backstreets and lovely gardens. Notting Hill Gate is the main tube station (Central, District and Circle Line). There are also many surrounding tube stations such as Westbourne Park Station and Ladbroke Grove.

There is never a dull moment when in Notting Hill, every August bank holiday millions of people gather here for the Notting Hill Carnival. They fill the streets with costumes, marching bands, Calypso music and a variety of mouth watering food.

Portobello Market is a very popular market and runs from 7 days a week. The best days to hit up the markets however are Friday and Saturday and we would definitely recommend stopping by if you wish to find some delicious snacks, antiques or vintage clothing. Notting Hill is of course most famous for the romantic comedy released in 1999. It immediately became a popular place to visit as much of the film was shot in and around the area. There is a Notting Hill Film Tour which shows you some of the famous locations featured in the film and you can also learn about the history of the area.

There are a few museums and galleries in the area worth seeing such as The Museum of Brands, Packaging and Advertising which is one of London’s quirkiest museums. There is also a gallery called Graffik which is dedicated to urban art and definitely worth a look.

For a quiet pint in Notting Hill, head to traditional pubs such as the Hillgate, The Cow or The Elgin which hosts a diverse mix of live music throughout the week. If you are looking for a more glamorous evening make your way to Beach Blanket Babylon for some delicious cocktails. Notting Hill is also conveniently close to Central London and the Westfield Shopping Mall which means it is one of the best places to stay in London.
