The apartment

Property description

A very spacious and well furnished apartment with plenty of room and just a few minutes south of Hyde Park and very close to the shopping and dining choices of Kensington High Street and its surroundings. Travel connections from here are very convenient.

This exceptionally large two bedroom, two bathroom apartment is on the raised ground floor of a pristine period building. Some internal stairs to the second bedroom. This is a non-smoking property.

Decor

Typicaly English styling with muted colours and beautiful antique furniture.

Receptions

The reception room is a fantastic entertaining space with it's high ceiling and beautiful furnishings and view of the stunning buildings opposite. There is plenty of seating with a double sofa, armchairs and dining chairs available. The dining table will seat 6 to 8 people comfortably.

Kitchen

The kitchden is well equipped with modern appliances; washing machine/dryer, dishwasher, fridge and freezer, kettle, toaster and sandwich maker.

Bedrooms

The expansive master bedroom has a super king-sized bed and large wardrobe, as well as some cosy chairs and other antique pieces. Bedroom two has a double bed with en suite shower room.

The best about this apartment is the location, as it is so close to Kensington Palace and Hyde Park! There are also plenty of shops in the area, it was easy to pick up groceries for our family breakfasts.

We absolutely loved the enormous master bedroom with high ceiling and had very good night sleep before going to see attractions on each day of our vacation. We noticed that some of the kitchen utensils were not properly cleaned on arrival, but once we reported this to Lia she made sure housekeepers were sent to sort this out. An elegant residential area of period terraces and garden squares, a few minutes walk south of Hyde Park, a great green space and close enough for a brisk early jog or a leisurely evening stroll. A walk of less than 10 minutes takes you to the many attractions of the Kensington High Street and Church Street area. And in 15 you could walk to the Victoria & Albert Museum, the Natural History and Science Museums, and beyond them to the fashionista and gourmet paradise of Harrods and the exclusive shops, boutiques and restaurants of Knightsbridge. Buses and taxis are plentiful for access to the West End or farther afield, also for Heathrow.
